Every year, the Super Bowl champions get the opportunity to visit the White House and meet the man in charge; next week, the Denver Broncos get to make their mark in D.C.
On Wednesday, the White House released a statement saying, “On Monday, June 6, President Obama will welcome the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos to the White House to honor the team and their Super Bowl 50 victory. This visit will continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to their communities.”
Aqib Talib is ready to make the trip to D.C. as he reportedly will be wearing a $3,500 suit to the event.
“I’m looking forward to seeing how that looks,” Talib said during a 9News interview on Tuesday. “Meet Obama before he get up out [of there]. Something I’ve never done before. With these guys, too, man, there are so many characters in this locker room, so just to be able to do something I’ve never done before with these guys, it will be a blast for us.”
Talib has already prepared a few things he might want to say to the President if he gets the chance.
“I just want to tell him congratulations,” Talib said. “He ran the country for eight years, he must be doing something right. So I’m going to tell him, ‘Congrats. We’re going to miss him.’ Whatever comes to mind.”
With their trip now scheduled, the team took some time to look back on their first visit to the White House as World Champions, when they met President Clinton in 1998.

And while Von Miller has been skipping OTAs while he and the Broncos work out a long-term deal, there’s no chance of him missing out on this opportunity.

Oh, and No. 18 will be making an appearance, too.
