The Denver Broncos lost starting center Matt Paradis for the season with a broken fibula, so to improve the depth of the offensive line, the team has signed Gino Gradkowski. The Broncos previously acquired the veteran center in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens in 2015, but Gradkowski was cut during that offseason.

Originally a fourth round pick of the Ravens, Gradkowski spent three years in Baltimore before being traded to Denver. After being cut by the Broncos, Gradkowski spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers. Gradkowski suffered a season-ending knee injury at the end of 2016 and spent all of 2017 on Injured Reserve.
Gradkowski will wear No. 75 with the Broncos and will assume Paradis’ spot on the 53-man roster.
Following the bye, Denver will travel to Los Angeles on Sunday for its first matchup against the Chargers in 2018. Since losing to the Rams on Sept. 23, the Chargers have won six consecutive games.
