The Denver Broncos used their bye week for rest as the team prepares to play a heavy weighted AFC West schedule. Denver plays five out of their final seven games against their division foes and is looking to get key players back.

Vic Fangio provided a few updates to media on Monday when he had his routine press conference.

The biggest news surrounded the team’s best pass rusher and offensive lineman.

The Broncos head coach stated that veteran pass rusher Bradley Chubb will practice with the team for the first time since injuring his ankle against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second game of the season. The team announced Chubb has been designated to return from injured reserve and can officially rejoin the team at any point over the next 21 days.

Additionally, Fangio told reports that starting left tackle Garett Bolles is going on the COVID-19 list. The good news for Bolles and the Broncos is his vaccination status. Since Bolles is vaccinated, he needs two consecutive days of testing negative to be eligible for return. Though unlikely, this indicates there is a chance Bolles can play against the Chargers Sunday.

Other notes include starting right tackle Bobby Massie (ankle), has a chance to play against the Chargers according to Fangio.

Bryce Callahan is aiming for a return in early December, potentially against the Kansas City Chiefs. Fellow cornerback Michael Ojemudia will begin to practice this week.

News on rookie linebacker Baron Browning was not as optimistic as he continues to deal with a back issue and did not practice Monday. The team will ease Browning along slowly, suggesting he only returns if he is 100 percent.
