The Denver Broncos are finally going to play a game this Sunday against the Patriots. Denver’s 17-game layoff gave them time to rest up and get healthy, but it’s an awfully long time to wait to play.

Let’s take a look at the best Broncos vs. Patriots player prop bets and picks.

The Broncos are 8.5-point underdogs on the spread right now and +360 on the moneyline. The total points mark is set at 44.5.

It’s always tough to go into New England and win. That won’t be any different for the Broncos, even with the extra time to prepare for the game.

There are tons of player props out for this game and here are some of our favorites.

Broncos Player Props At DraftKings Sportsbook

Here are a couple of great player props you can find at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Cam Newton Under 230.5 Passing Yards (-112)

The Patriots are leaning into the running game with Cam Newton as their quarterback this year. They are going to have to do rely on the ground game after barely having any time to practice recently. The Pats had to shut down the facility and work remotely due to COVID-19 on Friday.

Add in the fact that Cam Newton was on the COVID/reserve list until Thursday and it’s likely that Newton and the offense will be out of sync. We expect a low-scoring, defensive battle on Sunday.

Receiving Yards Matchup — Jerry Jeudy (-104) vs. Julian Edelman

Jerry Jeudy has yet to explode in a game yet, but he’s been consistent through the first four games of his career. The Alabama rookie has caught between 55 and 62 yards in all four games.

On the other hand, Julian Edelman erupted for 179 yards in Week 2, but he’s underwhelmed in his other three games. Edelman is a slight favorite in this matchup at -121, but this is pretty much a toss-up.

We’re betting Jeudy because there’s a chance he can win a close matchup where the winner finishes around 60 yards or he might have his first huge game as a pro.

Phillip Lindsay Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+150)

Phillip Lindsay is returning to the field for the first time since Week 1. He was held to just 24 yards and no touchdowns on seven carries in Week 1, but we expect Lindsay to play a bigger role in Sunday’s game against the Pats.

Drew Lock struggles to move the ball on the road. Lindsay will need to be a big factor in the offense if the Broncos are going to have any chance at putting points on the board. With Melvin Gordon out with illness for Sunday, Lindsay will be the featured back.

He’s also listed at +850 to score the first touchdown which is a much riskier play than anytime touchdown, but it could pay off.

Jerry Jeudy 7+ Receptions & Broncos Win (+1060)

Going back to Jeudy, if he puts up a big game, the Broncos will have a legitimate chance to win. With Lock’s struggles on the road, he needs a true No. 1 target to throw to. Jeudy has the talent to be that guy, but he’s yet to have his real coming-out party.

In Week 4 against the Jets, Jeudy showed off his insane hands by taking an interception away from Pierre Desir and taking it in for a touchdown. If Lock ever sees Jeudy in single-coverage, he can take a chance on throwing it up and letting Jeudy do the rest.

His career-high in catches is five, but these odds are too good to pass up.

Broncos Player Props At William Hill Sportsbook

These are two player props we love at William Hill Sportsbook.

Drew Lock Under 1.5 Touchdowns (-210)

Drew Lock struggles on the road. His passer rating drops by 10 points on the road compared to Mile High. The second-year quarterback scored two and three touchdowns in the first two games of his career, but he’s failed to score multiple touchdowns in any of his next five games.

The Patriots have had a long time to prepare for the Broncos and you can bet that Bill Belichick has a plan for stopping the young quarterback.

The counterpoint to this is that the Patriots have had to such down the facility multiple times in the last two weeks due to COVID-19. The lack of practice could have an adverse effect on the New England defense.

Phillip Lindsay Over 12.5 Rushing Attempts (-115)

With Melvin Gordon out this Sunday, Lindsay is going to get the lion’s share of the carries. The Colorado product has had 13 or more rushing attempts in 20 of his 32 career games.

This feels like an attainable number for Lindsay if he is healthy. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is going to tailor the gameplan around getting Lindsay the ball so he can set up the play-action pass with Lock.

The Patriots have a middle-of-the-pack rushing defense and they are susceptible to big games on the ground. Look for the Broncos to establish the run early by going to Lindsay early and often.
