The injury occurred during a play on Wednesday. An MRI on Thursday morning revealed the tear.
Ty Sambrailo took the majority of reps at left tackle during today’s practice.
Clady missed 14 games in 2013 with a Lisfranc injury to his left foot.
Until that injury, Clady had not missed a single game, starting all 85 games of his NFL career. Clady returned healthy in 2014, starting all 16 regular-season games and earning his fourth Pro Bowl nomination.
Denver is thin on tackles, with Clady and Chris Clark the only current players on the roster with two or more years of experience. Michael Schofield, the Broncos’ 2014 3rd Round draft pick, is the only other non-rookie.
Connor Rains (Wyoming), Kyle Roberts (Nevada), and Sambrailo (Colo. State) round out the list of tackles on Denver’s roster.
Sambrailo was a 2nd Round pick in this years draft, Rains and Roberts were signed as college free agents.
