A few of the Colorado Rapids games have been rescheduled due to conflicting events and other issues. Two of Colorado’s matches against Real Salt Lake have been altered due to the airing of the Gold Cup Games which air on Fox and Univision networks. The July 12th game has been rescheduled to Satuday, July 11 at 7 p.m. MT (Altitude TV.) While the October 3rd match will take place on Sunday, October 4th at 7 p.m. MT (Fox Sports 1.)
While the Rapids matchup against the New York Red Bulls have also been rescheduled. Instead of facing New York on the original date of July 25th, the two teams will now face off on April 29 at Red Bull Arena. This change was due to the MLS team Montreal playing in the CONCACAF Champions League.
“We Want to support our fellow MLS Member Montreal in moving our game as they continue play in the CONCACAF Champions league,” said New York Red Bulls general manager Marc De Grandpre. “In moving the Colorado game to April, we have given ourselves flexibility within our schedule to potentially add international matches in July at Red Bull Arena.
The Rapids next match will be against one of Major League Soccers’ newest franchises, New York FC. Kickoff time is 2 p.m. MT at Dicks Sporting Goods Park. That game can also be heard on Mile High Sports Radio AM 1550 | FM 94.1
