The Colorado Rapids had a busy start to the 2016 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday, although their first moves didn’t involve any players.
To kick start the SuperDraft, the Rapids acquired the 12th overall pick from the LA Galaxy in exchange for targeted allocation money. With the addition of the 12th pick, the Rapids held the 2nd, 12th and the 22nd pick at the beginning of the event.
But they didn’t stop there when moving picks and money. With the draft underway, they made another move.
