In total, three pitchers were reassigned: Ryan Castellani, Sam Howard and Johendi Jiminan. Three position players were as well.: Rosell Herrera, Ryan McMahon and Chris Rabago. The Rockies now have 56 players remaining in camp.
The first cuts from camp are always the easiest. None of the aforementioned players were expected to crack the opening day lineup for the Rockies.
The Rockies played Puerto Rico on Thursday, in a tuneup for the World Baseball Classic, with Colorado winning 10-2.
