The Colorado Avalanche open their season tomorrow against the Minnesota Wild at the Pepsi Center. Exceptions for the Avalanche this season are mixed. Fans believe Joe Sakic and Patrick Roy have made the necessary moves to compete for the division title, hockey experts do not.
Josh Kroenke joined Eric Goodman and Zach Fogg of Afternoon Drive and stressed a ‘crawl before you walk’ mentally.
“We won the division two years ago so I’d like to think we’re not to far off of that but I think you obviously have to talk about getting back to the playoffs before you can talk about winning a division championship,” Kroenke said. “Although, the division championship will be firmly in our minds moving forward.”
Kroenke also said he believes the Colorado Avalanche are going to have a better season than their Pepsi Center counterparts.
