As the Colorado Rockies assemble in Scottsdale, Ariz. prior to the team’s full workout on Sunday, AT&T SportsNet’s Cory Sullivan joined Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7, and the former Rockies’ outfielder shared his thoughts about the club’s chances to make the postseason for the second consecutive year.
Sullivan, a part of the Rockies’ 1997 World Series team, discussed the nature of postseason expectations. “Outside of the bullpen, it was kind of a ‘stand-pat’ (offseason); the core guys are still there,” Sullivan said. The Rockies added closer Wade Davis from the Cubs and setup man Bryan Shaw from the Indians in free agency. “A lot of the guys this week have been using the word ‘addicting’; that’s what they refer to what they did last year in September. It made them want to do it more.”
