Sunday, Denver Broncos breakout Sunday.
In the blowout win 44-24 over the Dallas Cowboys, Denver’s offense was buoyed by three young players breaking out.
The Broncos offense will be changed for the better if the three youngsters can keep producing like that.
R.J. Harvey scores 3 touchdowns
Harvey was drafted in the second round back in April with hopes his speed would let him take runs to the house.
That’s exactly what he did on his first carry, blazing 40 yards to the end zone with ease.

While Denver’s run the ball better this year, they’ve still been missing the explosive runs. With his on Sunday, the Broncos now have eight runs of 20-plus yards, which is on pace for 17, or nearly double last year’s number (10).
Harvey scored a second time from the quarterback position in shotgun, and then caught a pass from Bo Nix in the fourth quarter.
Have a day, rook. 👏

He’s the first Broncos rookie in 23 years to score three times in a game, going all the way back to Clinton Portis. It was a bountiful performance on this Denver Broncos breakout Sunday.
Troy Franklin Scores Twice
Not to be outdone, second-year receiver Troy Franklin scored two touchdowns of his own.
When the Broncos took Franklin in the 3rd round in 2024, the hope was he would become the speedy, big-play receiver opposite of Courtland Sutton.
We saw a small glimpse of that last year, but he really enjoyed the breakout on Sunday.
He started off hot with a 26-yard catch and run that set up Harvey’s first touchdown. It was that exact kind of play, an intermediate pass over the middle, that the Broncos offense has been missing this year.
On the Broncos next drive, he caught a deep touchdown, 25 yards and again in the middle of the field.
Fast forward to the fourth quarter and he made a brilliant move inside before going back outside and catching his second touchdown in the back of the end zone.

It was the first time Franklin scored twice in a game, and he tied his career-high set earlier this year with 89 yards through the air. If he can build on this performance and become the Broncos legitimate No. 2 receiver, the offense is set for many more big days like this one this season.
Pat Bryant scores his first TD
Rookie Pat Bryant took part of the Denver Broncos breakout Sunday, too, scoring his first NFL touchdown.
Bryant only had five receptions for 46 yards coming into Week 8 against the Cowboys. Then, he caught two for 40 yards and the beautiful touchdown.

“It was amazing,” Bryant said of his first touchdown. “I just wanted to make sure that I got the ‘Mile High Salute’ in. Especially with the throwbacks, I’ve been hearing it a lot this week. So a very special moment.”
Bryant is the No. 4 receiver on the team and as he continues to evolve as a pass catcher, he becomes just another wideout Nix can find when he needs to.
It also makes things much more difficult for opposing defenses because the threats have multiplied this week. They can’t just focus on Courtland Sutton anymore, which makes things better for the whole unit.
For the Broncos, it was their first complete game of the year. All three phases played well and dominated.
“We played really well on all cylinders,” QB Bo Nix said after the win. “Run game, pass game, third downs, base downs, we played well in the red zone and scored points. I think only one field goal. We played well when we needed to. Our defense played well and got us the ball back a lot. Overall, it was a really good performance by us.”
Denver is 6-2 for the first time since 2016 and continues to lead the AFC West by one game over the Chargers (5-3) and Chiefs (4-3) who play the Commanders tonight.
