A lot of people are questioning the Denver Broncos quarterback situation, but it’s imperative that we remember one very important fact: This defense is really, really, really good.
Through the first half they produced six sacks and one interception, while the Bears offense totaled just 78 total yards and four first downs.
The defense couldn’t be doing much better in the first half. Haven’t lost a beat from last year as of now #Broncos

And it didn’t stop there. With the Bears attempting to close the gap late in the second quarter, Bennie Fowler split through the Bears’ line and blocked a punt, which immediately led to a Denver touchdown.

Fowler schooled DeAndre Houston-Carson, a rookie from William & Mary … broke inside and DHC didn't have a chance.

It's not Bennie Fowler. It's Bennie Fowler III

Fowler with the blocked punt, Anderson with the recovery & TD #BRONCOS. they are firing on all cylinders tonight

And after halftime, it didn’t get much better for the Bears, as the Broncos’ Dekoda Watson sacked David Fales in the end zone for a safety.
The offense, defense and special teams have all scored for the Broncos tonight. #Allthreephases

Broncos doing it like last year- scoring through special teams, defense and kicking. This time it looks great #Broncos

Throughout the second half, the Broncos, no matter what unit was in, continued to dominate the Chicago Bears. And after four quarters, John Fox’s squad left Soldier Field with zero points on the board and a strong understanding of how the Denver Broncos just won the Super Bowl.
From top to bottom, Denver dominated the game, but it was the defense that really stood out.
