Currently in our nation’s capital with several other mayors to discuss their priorities, Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock found the time to pose with an old friend. One that has been absent from the Mile High City for some time now.

The Colorado Avalanche last captured the Stanley Cup in 2001. If you have watched them lately or peeked at the NHL standings, you know that it isn’t in the cards for this season.
Mayor Hancock is an avid sports fan. In fact, you may remember him if you were at the Denver Broncos pep rally before Super Bowl 50 or victory parade after. Interesting fact: Mayor Hancock was actually the man behind the mask, serving as the Broncos’ old mascot Huddles in the 1980s.
