Today, the Denver Nuggets released the details for their third day of pre-draft workouts at the Pepsi center. The Nuggets will be bringing in six different prospects, headlined by Vanderbilt point guard Wade Baldwin.
While three of the six prospects probably won’t have their names called on draft night, the remaining prospects do have some talent. Baldwin is the main attraction for this group, with Ben Bentil following behind him. Tyrone Wallace could also surprise a lot of people, even without the benefit of three-point range.
Baldwin is the best fit with the Nuggets out of the group. Baldwin is a sophomore point guard who shot 40.6 percent from three-point range and has great size at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds and a massive 6-foot-11 wingspan. He doesn’t create well for himself, but with his immense size and pure shooting stroke and huge defensive upside, he could carve himself a role in the NBA. He will be available in the later selections of the first round or early in the second round. Look for the Nuggets to consider him with their 19th pick.
These players are set to workout Wednesday, May 25 at 11am at the Pepsi Center.
