The Denver Nuggets found a way to win in the Six.
On the newest episode of the Pickaxe and Roll Podcast, Ryan Blackburn discusses the Denver Nuggets 113-104 win over the Toronto Raptors as Nikola Jokic goes off for 31 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists.
Jokic and Jamal Murray dominated down the stretch, with Murray making his only return to Canada during the NBA season. Murray had 20 points and six assists, setting the table for Jokic on multiple occasions. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope made game-winning plays of his own with a clutch three-pointer, three steals, and a block.
Ryan discusses the starters, the bench led by the quick developing Peyton Watson, and the top five contenders in the NBA right now. Watson continues to impress in an expanded role and appears to be getting better by the day. Reggie Jackson and Julian Strawther also made timely plays, showcasing improved bench depth, even on a night when Denver’s reserves weren’t perfect.
