The Denver Nuggets may be without Aaron Gordon after a freak accident over Christmas.
On the latest episode of the Pickaxe and Roll podcast, Ryan Blackburn discusses the injuries Aaron Gordon sustained from a dog bite injury over Christmas. Gordon will be out for at least a week, possibly longer. Ryan shares notes and quotes from Michael Malone, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Peyton Watson at practice today discussing Gordon’s situation.
The Nuggets shared the following press release earlier today on the situation:
“Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon suffered lacerations to his face and hand resulting from a dog bite on December 25th. Aaron is in good condition and will remain away from the team while he recovers. Additional updates will be provided as necessary.”
Ryan discusses Gordon’s impact, how the Nuggets will handle his absence, and shares some stats on different lineup combos. Then, Ryan previews the Thursday/Friday back-to-back against Ja Morant’s Memphis Grizzlies and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Oklahoma City Thunder.
