If you don’t know Steve, you don’t know Minecraft. But you might know Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, home of the Colorado Rapids. (Steve is the default player in the popular virtual sandbox game, FYI.) Now, Steve knows Dick’s.
A very creative player has created a version of the Commerce City, Colo. park in Minecraft, which has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide as of June 2015. It is the best-selling PC game to date and the third-best video game of all-time after Tetris and Wii Sports.
YouTuber Treasurex uploaded a virtual Minecraft tour of the Rapids’ home stadium, which includes both daytime and (lighted) night views and has some incredible detail right down to the unique angled scoreboard and “COLORADO” spelled out across the stands.
Treasurex has dozens of stadiums and other structural marvels (like the Space Needle) on their channel, so if you’re looking for a great way to slack off on a Friday afternoon, give them a look!
