Denver Broncos nose tackle Domata Peko has an MCL sprain.
Per Vance Joseph on AM 760, Peko will be out for at least one or two weeks. This could end Peko’s active playing streak at 123 games.
Peko sustained the injury during a Week 12 matchup against the Oakland Raiders. He had already entered the game with an illness, but it was not a factor in his injury. He left the game and was seen on the sidelines with an ice wrap around his left knee.
Peko, in his 12th NFL season, has been an essential part of the Broncos defense. He has 35 tackles, five stuffs and a fumble recovery so far.
In his career Peko has appeared in 182 games (166 starts).
Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post reported that Peko was in a knee brace Monday and is still hoping to keep his streak alive.
