As the Denver Broncos’ offseason program ramps up, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is plenty busy with his own activities. Still, he was able to find some time to give back to the Denver community.
On Wednesday, Sanders hosted a Papa John’s pizza party at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Denver with several Broncos teammates, including: Iosia Iosia, Hunter Sharp, Kevin Snyder, Kalif Raymond and Quentin Gause.

The Boys & Girls Club holds a special place in Sanders’ heart. In fact, it inspired his own foundation: the Emmanuel Sanders Foundation.
“My foundation is based around the Boys and Girls Club. This is the reason why I invented my foundation. I grew up in the Boys and Girls Club, from going there every day after school to being involved,” Sanders said. “I’m in the process of starting my foundation. I have my first event coming up in May, so what a great start? The Broncos are the only team in the NFL that has a Boys and Girls Club, so I’m just honored to be a part of this one.”
The objective of the Emmanuel Sanders Foundation is to “provide children from low-income families with resources and support to reach their full potential and attain a better life.” Though they have yet to host their own event, the work has already started for Sanders, who is happy to lend a hand.
“We have an opportunity to be around the kids and give kids a dream and to inspire kids,” said Sanders. :That’s what it’s about. This platform that we’re on, we have to take advantage of it, se it for the proper things and that’s to better people and uplift people. That’s what we’re trying to do.”
In addition to the pizza party, Sanders also took 100 children and parents to an advance screening of King Author.
