The Denver Broncos are lucky to have Pat Bowlen. For decades, Mr. B has resided over the Broncos franchise like one would their family, treating each and every member of the organization, player or employee, with the love and respect they deserved.

Today, Mr. B, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, is no longer able to play the same role he once did, but that hasn’t stop Joe Ellis, the Broncos’ chief executive officer and president, and company from following his lead.

According to Mike Klis of 9NEWS, the Denver Broncos will be paying for every single one of their employees to travel out with the team to Super Bowl 50. And yes, that includes interns and part-timers.

Those employees will head into Santa Clara next Thursday, four days after the players and game-day personnel arrive on Sunday, where they will receive transportation to and from Levi’s Stadium, hotel accommodations and tickets to the game. As we pointed out on Wednesday, that’s a hefty price.

But, again, if there’s anybody who knows how to handle their team during a Super Bowl run, it’s Pat Bowlen and the Denver Broncos.

Let’s just hope that when John Elway grasps that Lombardi Trophy next Sunday, he gets an opportunity to yell, “This one’s for Pat!”
