On Monday night, Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Shelby Harris was back in town facing his old team.

The Denver Broncos would end up beating the Browns, 41-32.

While the Broncos are obviously still riding the high of the primetime win, it seems another ex-Bronco turned Browns player, who isn’t named Jerry Jeudy, has some sour grapes about losing to their former team.

On his podcast “We’re The Harrises,” Harris revealed his honest feelings about the Broncos rookie signal caller.

“I would say other than that big throw, Bo Nix isn’t the most efficient quarterback out there,” said Harris. “I think that he needs to make the little throws. It’s a lot of flare.”

Apparently, Nix’s perfectly thrown 93-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Mim Jr. had ‘too much flare’ for Harris’ liking.

“He did just enough, and he lived off that defense. That defense really went and made plays for them to win the game,” Harris continued. “Obviously he did exactly what he needed to do, but it wasn’t the most efficient game. And you know, two interceptions.”

While the Broncos’ defense came up with two massive pick-sixes, Nix still deserves a bit of credit for running the offense. Nix would have a 51.4% completion rating with 294 pass yards, as well as one touchdown and two interceptions. To Nix’s credit, however, one of those interceptions technically wasn’t his fault, as the ball was batted up by a receiver.

Harris would go on to compliment Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

“I played Jayden Daniels, I played Bo Nix. Jayden Daniels chopped our defense up,” said Harris.

The ‘”chopping up” Harris seems to be referencing is when Daniels faced the Browns and went 14-for-25, 235 pass yards, 82 pass yards, and one touchdown. The Commanders beat the Browns 34-13.

Nix and Daniels are virtually neck and neck in the Offensive Rookie of the Year race. But as of now, it seems like Harris is choosing to pump the breaks on all the hype surrounding Nix.

“I think Bo Nix still has a ways to go. He has the talent to be a great quarterback in this league but in order for the Broncos to be successful in the playoffs, he’s going to have to be better.”
