Norm Jones, the former radio voice of the Colorado Avalanche, joined Gil Whiteley and he didn’t pull any pushes when it came to Colorado’s playoff chances.
“They’re probably the last place team, at least these are the predictions, the last place team in the Central Division. They’re not a playoff team”, Jones said.
Colorado’s biggest problem early in the preseason has been offensive production. That’s one of the area Jones said Patrick Roy is really focusing his attention. The Avalanche scored 5 goals in their first preseason game and have only scored 1 goal in their last four. That’s a major concern and the only way Colorado is going to make a playoff run this season is if that gets fixed, quickly.
