Fantasy football expert Brandon Funston provides his weekly insight and rankings of the best players to help you win big.
Quarterbacks
Aaron Rodgers threw for 356 yards and 2 TD passes when last he met Dallas – a victory against the Cowboys in the 2016 NFC Divisional playoff. He heads to Dallas this Sunday on a nice little roll that includes 9 TD passes in his past three games. He’s my top-ranked fantasy QB for Week 5.

Running Backs
After a slow start to 2017, Pittsburgh RB Le’Veon Bell busted out in a big way in Week 4, putting up 186 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns at Baltimore. Hosting a Jacksonville defense on Sunday that is allowing a whopping 5.8 yards per carry to the RB position, Bell sits atop the Week 5 RB ranks.
Wide Receivers
When it comes to finding the end zone, Jordy Nelson is among the best. He’s scored five times in three games this season, and has amassed 19 TDs in his past 19 regular-season games. This week he’ll face a Dallas secondary that has allowed 5 TDs to wide receivers this season, fourth-most in the NFL. Nelson is one of the best fantasy receiver options on the board in Week 5.
Tight Ends
Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce is coming off a 111-yard effort on Monday night against Washington. Topping the century mark in yardage has become somewhat commonplace for Kelce, who has done so in eight of his past 14 regular-season games. Facing a Houston defense that has allowed the eighth-most yards to the TE position over the past three weeks, Kelce is about as good a play as it gets at tight end this week.

Defense / Special Teams
Philly gets a home date with Arizona this week. And that’s good news for an Eagles defense that currently sits among the top 10 defenses in fantasy points. The Cardinals have allowed the most QB sacks, QB hurries and QB pressures, and their lack of adequate protection for Carson Palmer should lead to another stellar performance in fantasy for the Eagles defense.
