Since the middle of last season, Denver Broncos star pass rusher DeMarcus Ware has been dealing with an injured back. And while it didn’t seem to effect him during the team’s Super Bowl run, where Ware had 3.5 sacks and plenty more pressures in three playoff games, the organization has taken things slowly out of the gate with the aging veteran.
According to Gary Kubiak, though, Ware is on the verge of a return.
Kubiak: DeMarcus Ware is "very close…hopefully back in four or five days" @DeMarcusWare #Broncos

That would likely put Ware in line to play in the Broncos’ third preseason game, but Denver may opt to hold him out anyway. As Ware said earlier this month, he needs to make sure he’s ready to dominate in the regular season, not the preseason.
