The first leg of a tough five-game road trip came down to the wire, but the Denver Nuggets ended up on the wrong side of a 105-102 game in Toronto.
Denver outscored Toronto 53-43 in the second half but it was not enough to overcome a 26-9 run in the second quarter by the Raptors.
DeMar DeRozan scored 33 and Kyle Lowry added 29 points for Toronto in the win. Jusuf Nurkic had a double-double with 13 points and 18 rebounds; six Nuggets scored in double-digits.
Will Barton injured his ankle in the game and is listed as day-to-day.
The Nuggets face Minnesota on Thursday.
