Just because it is a preseason game doesn’t mean the players don’t care. Look no further than 2015-16 NBA MVP Steph Curry on Friday night in Denver for evidence.
Curry led all players with 22 points over 27 minutes, but it was his postgame tweet about teammate Patrick McCaw that showed that even the elite players in the game want to pick up every precious win possible – even exhibition games.
Guess you can call that a solid game by @PMcCaw0 hitting shots to send us to OT AND win the game! #dubnation

The Nuggets led by nine points with under 2:00 to play after a see-saw game but McCaw scored eight points down the stretch including hitting the game-tying 3-pointer with one second on the clock. And he wasn’t done there.
McCaw added another ten points, a steal and an assist in the extra frame and hit his second shot of the game, a running buzzer-beater to give the Warriors a thrilling win.
Six Nuggets finished in double figures, including Danilo Gallinari who led the team with 18 and was four-for-four from long distance. Rookie guard Jamal Murray added 16 in his team-high 27 minutes.
Denver had a slight scare in the third quarter when Emmanuel Mudiay came down awkwardly on his right ankle while grabbing a rebound and had to leave the game. His injury was called a sprain and he is day-to-day.
