After 12 games missed, Jamal Murray finally got back on the court and helped the Denver Nuggets win a game.
In the latest episode of the Pickaxe and Roll Podcast, Ryan Blackburn discusses the Denver Nuggets impressive 134-124 win over the Houston Rockets. Jamal Murray returned from his hamstring injury that sidelined him for 12 games only to roll his ankle two minutes into the game. Murray gutted it out and played 22 minutes, but he still appeared bothered by the injury postgame.
Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr. had strong games, and even though the Nuggets couldn’t defend a chair, the offense was simply too dominant. Jokic had an incredible triple-double against Alperen Sengun and made the game look very easy. Porter got off to a hot shooting start and continued a nice run of dominant play at the power forward position.
Ryan discusses the game, Murray’s return, and what to expect moving forward against the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings over the weekend. Can the Nuggets win both?
