Yet another day of action is in the books at the IIHF World Championship. Yet again, some Colorado Avalanche players had a hand in the results.
In Sweden’s matchup against Latvia, Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog proved to be the difference; as he scored the gamewinner in the 2-0 victory. His second of the tournament (and fourth point), this tally was something to behold.

Canada was also in action, playing in a surprisingly close contest against France, ultimately winning 3-2. Nathan MacKinnon picked up another point, assisting on Ryan O’Reilly‘s tally. MacKinnon is now in sole possession of second place in tournament scoring, moving past teammate Tyson Barrie, who will miss the rest of the tournament due to injury.
