The entire Colorado Avalanche contingent at the World Championship was in action on Monday. Quite a few of them even had quite the impact on the contests they were a part of.

Nathan MacKinnon and Tyson Barrie continued their torrid play for Team Canada. A day after netting a hat trick, MacKinnon scored another two goals and an assist in the team’s 6-0 drubbing of Belarus on Monday. He now has the tournament goal lead, with five through just three contests. Barrie added an assist. The pair are tied for second in tournament scoring, with seven points apiece.

Calvin Pickard had the shutout for Canada, stopping 13 shots. Through two games, he has a remarkable 0.50 goals-against average and a .976 save percentage. Duchene is also on the team, but remains pointless.

J.T. Compher netted the game-winning goal against Sweden, lifting Team USA to a 4-3 victory.

Gabriel Landeskog also had an impact on the contest, though not on the scoreboard. Instead, he had an big impact on American forward Nick Schmaltz, knocking him from the contest.

Finally, Mikko Rantanen made his mark during Finland’s 4-3 loss to the Czech Republic, notching a pair of assists. He now has four points in three games.
