Everybody, Broncos management included, wants to get Von Miller locked up long term. The issue, as always, is money, and the Broncos need more of it.
Miller is reportedly looking to receive upwards of $20 million a year, which would make him the highest-paid defender in NFL history, but John Elway and the rest of the front office have yet to budge; they’re looking to come in at the $17 million range.
Maybe, though, if Denver was gifted a few more dollars in cash, they’d be willing to up their offer? That’s what Shannon Sharpe is hoping, at least, as he took around a collection plate at the Denver Broncos’ ring ceremony, looking for donations for Von.
