With “March Madness” in full effect and recruiting season coming quickly, new Colorado State Rams head basketball coach Niko Medved spoke with Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 about the state of the program, and how it feels for the former Rams assistant coach to return to Ft. Collins.
“It feels great; it’s kind of surreal,” Medved said. “Last night, I took some of the new guys up to Horsetooth Canyon and walked around for a little bit; took in the views. I haven’t had a lot of time to get around Ft. Collins yet… but you see all the growth at CSU. It’s really an exciting time.”
For the Rams, Medved represents a return to normalcy after the tumultuous Larry Eustachy era. “Culture is really the collective attitude, beliefs and behaviors of everyone in the organization,” Medved said. “That starts with getting the right people on board; the staff that’s hired and getting to know the players.”
