Congratulations to Taylor O’Brien, a junior volleyball player at Eaglecrest High School, for receiving 1,987 votes out of a total 3,378 and being named the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week for Week 3!
Taylor earned the award in large part because she is a leader both on and off the court. Her interests go well beyond bumps, sets and spikes.
“She not only excels on the volleyball court, but in the community and classroom,” said Eaglecrest volleyball coach Courtney Karst. “She is in Student Leadership (marketing president), National Honor Society, Science Honors Society and she just reinstated the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club.”
Taylor has balanced being an elite varsity athlete the past three years while holding a 4.0 GPA at Eaglecreast with a course load that includes numerous honors classes ranging from English to geometry.
“Taylor exemplifies the Raptor way and aspiring to greatness every day,” noted Karts. “We couldn’t be more proud of her.”
Taylor’s interview with Dan Fellman will air on the Mile High Sports Show on FM 104.3 The Fan this Sunday (10/11) in between 7 and 9 a.m., but we’ve also got a sneak peek below.
