Congratulations to Blaise Snowberg, a junior swimmer at Lakewood High School, for receiving 3,167 votes out of a total 6,553 and being named the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week for Week 25!
Blaise recently placed 3rd in the 500 freestyle among a heavy field at the Dick Rush Coaches Invite. He is also a member of the school’s mountain bike team and competes in XTerra triathlons during the summer. He has been named All-American by USA Triathlon and placed nationally the last two year.
“Blaise is one of the top two swimmers on our team,” noted Lakewood High School swim coach Jen Snowberg. “A versatile swimmer, he has state qualifying times in five of the eight individual events and is very close in the remaining three. We can swim him wherever needed and he is willing to do so for the best of the team.”
Blaise carries a 3.9 GPA at Lakewood and is a member of the National Honor Society. He volunteers his time with the Jeffco Action Center, distributing clothes and foods to those in need.
“He is an extremely humble individual who is proud to be a Lakewood Tiger,” concluded Coach Snowberg. “He cares about each and every one of his teammates no matter their ability level.”
