Brock Osweiler made his highly anticipated preseason game one start on Friday at Seattle, being handed the keys to the Denver Broncos offense while Peyton Manning had the night off.
Osweiler led the Broncos, scoring on all five drives, going 15 for 20 with 151 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions over two full quarters. The Broncos offense generated 14 first downs and 240 yards of offense with Osweiler at the helm. His quarterback rating for the night was a commendable 112.7.
For the Broncos, four drives resulted in field goals, and were it not for allowing a touchdown off a kickoff, they would have entered the locker room with a 19-3 lead. Instead, they would settle for a 19-10 advantage before Brock hung them up for the night. Perhaps his best pass of the day was a 17-yard touchdown pass floated into the hands of to Virgil Green streaking into the end zone to cap an impressive two-minute drill.
