It was just 10 days ago that the Montbello Recreation Center in Denver was the center of the Denver Nuggets’ world. In less than two weeks, it will be a focal point again. Shooting guard Malik Beasley will host a basketball camp there Aug. 5-6, as Chris Dempsey reported on the team website.

The camp is open to boys ages 12 to 16 and is just $10. Participants can register HERE.

Beasley is hosting the camp through MB5 Pro Academy, and will also hold a camp in his home town of Atlanta, Ga. the following weekend.

According to the organization’s website, “This two-day event will help young athletes develop basketball skills and learn the importance of performance preparation. Malik Beasley with the Denver Nuggets and coaches from the ‘The Skill Factory,’ an organization that specializes in sports training, will lead all activities. The first day of camp will focus on skill development, and athletes will be selected from each age group to participate in a ‘game showcase’ on the second day.”

The academy is part of a larger philanthropic mission of Beasley’s.
