Nikola Jokic has been spectacular to begin the 2024-25 NBA season. He’s spectacular to begin every season, but this year is truly on another level. Nobody has ever produced a comparable points, rebounds, and assists in a 12-game span. Well, outside of Jokic himself in the 2023 playoffs.

He’s firmly on his way to a fourth MVP award, and that would further elevate him to another level of the NBA pantheon. If the Nuggets can get themselves in gear around him and win another championship, that would confirm him as a top 10 player of all-time.

A pretty impressive 10 years in the NBA so far.

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn shares final thoughts on the Denver Nuggets win over the Los Angeles Lakers this weekend, focusing on the dominance of Nikola Jokic and what he’s doing this year. Then, he focuses in on Russell Westbrook and Michael Porter Jr. finding their way with the Nuggets this season. Finally, he previews the Nuggets game against the New York Knicks tonight.
