In the past week, Nikola Jokic has led the Denver Nuggets to three wins against the Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Los Angeles Clippers without a single loss as a part of Denver’s season-long five-game winning as they battle to make the playoffs. Oh, and the Nuggets have also announced that Jokic has also won Western Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 2nd to April 8th as well.
In those three Nuggets’ games, Jokic is averaging an absurd 23 points, 10.3 rebounds, nine assists, 2.3 steals, and one block over 36 minutes per game while only turning the ball over 2.7 times per game while shooting 51 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from three-point distance, and 78.6 percent from the free-throw line. Jokic has been instrumental for the Nuggets — who are battling for their first playoff berth since the 2012-13 season — on both ends of the floor en route to their current five-game winning streak.
This is Jokic’s second time winning Western Conference Player of the Week. He also won for the week of November 6th to November 12th. Jokic also is the first Nuggets’ player since Carmelo Anthony in 2009-10 to win multiple Player of the Week honors.
