In the final weeks of a season that essentially mean nothing for the team’s big picture, it couldn’t mean enough for young players like tight-end Austin Traylor, who simply wants to play as hard as possible and win himself a more permanent spot on the roster.

In an interview with Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 inside the Broncos’ locker room, Traylor was enthusiastic about the opportunity he’s been handed after the release of A.J. Derby.

“I’m definitely happy to be a part of the offense,” Traylor said. “I definitely want to play as hard as I can, and I expect and want to be here next year. I wouldn’t say it’s a personal agenda, because if you play your best, overall, you’re helping the team. So if everyone plays their best on the field, then the team’s better.”

Traylor also spoke about beginning to get more attention as a blocker and receiver, and how he wants to finish the year as strongly as possible.
