On Tuesday the Denver Nuggets signed their 19th selection in the 2016 NBA Draft, guard Malik Beasley, to his rookie contract.

Beasley will be paid $1.403 million his first year, $1.466 million in his second year and $1.529 million in his third. The fourth year would bump up by percentage points if his option is picked up. Years three and four are both team options.

Beasley, who spent one season at Florida State, has been rehabbing from a stress fracture in his right leg and has not participated with the Nuggets’ Summer League roster on the court. What he has done, though, is become one of the best team players anyone could ask for. The bench mob of Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris and Beasley has been a highlight so far based purely on the excitement and involvement in a roster that will never play all together again.

It has been an absolute pleasure watching this Summer League squad come together and play as a family, and from all of us at Mile High Sports we wish anyone on the roster the best going forward if it’s not in Denver.
