Spoiler alert, both bets we like tonight involve MVP candidates. Jokic going over 25.5 points seems like a safe bet even though the Warriors rank seventh in the league in defensive rating. Golden State should be able to speed the game up a bit, giving Jokic more offensive opportunities.

The Serbian sensation has gone over on this total in three of his last five games. He’s taking on more of the scoring responsibility in the wake of Murray’s injury. Jokic dropped 27 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in Denver’s last meeting with Golden State.

Why not? Stephen Curry struggled in Golden State’s loss to the Wizards, only scoring 18 points on 7-for-25 shooting. However, Curry was averaging 40.0 points per contest in his previous 11 games (seven wins). The two-time MVP shot nearly 50% from deep during that span, drilling more than seven threes per game.

The Warriors are going to have a tough time beating anyone in the league, let alone the Nuggets when Curry doesn’t carry the scoring load.
