Fueled by a seven-goal fourth quarter, the Denver Outlaws (5-1) defeated the Boston Cannons (2-4) 19-13 on Saturday to improve to 4-0 on the road this season. Denver sits atop the MLL standings through six games.

Midfielder Wes Berg (four goals, one assist) and attackman Eric Law (three goals, two assists) led the Outlaws with five points apiece. Attackman Matt Kavanagh (three goals, one assist) and midfielder Drew Snider (three goals) also tallied hat tricks, while midfielder Zach Currier recorded three points (one goal, two assists) in his Major League Lacrosse debut.

Goalie Jack Kelly stopped 16-of-27 shots faced. Midfielder Tom Kelly won 52.9 percent (18-of-34) of his faceoffs while also leading all players with seven ground balls.

The first three quarters of the game was a back-and-forth battle with neither team opening up more than a two-goal advantage. With Denver holding a 12-10 lead going into the fourth quarter, Boston would tie the game with 12:50 to play with a two-point goal.

Berg would score three of his four goals in the final quarter as the Outlaws outscored the Cannons 7-1 to close out the game and provide the final margin.

Denver is on a bye next week before returning home for a rematch against the Cannons on June 17 (7:30 p.m. MDT faceoff).
