Following a fumble recovery by Billy Winn, Trevor Siemian dropped back to pass for the Denver Broncos, only to be thrown to the ground violently on his shoulder. After a handoff to Devontae Booker, Siemian left the game and then left the field on the back of a cart.

Meaning … Paxton Lynch time.

Following an incompletion on his first attempt as an NFL quarterback, the Broncos punted with time winding down in the second half. After a quick three-and-out from the Bucs offense, courtesy of the Denver defense, Lynch and the Broncos offense received the ball back with enough time for a two-minute drill to end the half.

And Gary Kubiak let the kid sling it

Lynch drove the ball 47 yards down the field in just over a minute to set up a field goal to close the half, going 4-7 for all 47 of those yards. And he showed us some of that skill set that urged the Broncos to trade up into the first round to grab him.

The Broncos enter halftime with a 10-point lead and with Siemian’s health in question.

Has the Paxton Lynch era begun?
