According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo!, big changes are coming to the front offices at Pepsi Center. Sources have told Yahoo! that Sacramento Kings GM Pete D’Alessandro has accepted a high-ranking front office job with Josh Kroenke.

D’Alessandro previously worked for the Nuggets under then-GM Masai Ujiri as an advisor and was promoted to Vice President of Basketball Operations in 2012, helping build the team that set a franchise record for wins in 2012-13.
In role, D'Alessandro will work to support Kroenke across the Nuggets and Avalanche franchises, sources said.

The move comes in the wake of changes in Sacramento, where Vlade Divac took over the role of “new lead voice” for the franchise back in April.
For Nuggets GM Tim Connelly, a huge proponent of addition, D'Alessandro will be another experienced pro to help on building of team.

Fans and scribes wondering what had been the delay in the Nuggets hiring a new head coach may now have their answer.
The could also bode well for fans eager to see an exchange of players with Sacramento.
After Ujiri and D’Allesandro parted ways in Denver, with Ujiri going to Toronto and D’Allesandro heading to Sacramento, the two executed a seven-player trade within just a few months of taking their new positions.
Could a similar exchange be in place for Denver and Sacramento, especially with the George Karl connection and Karl’s known affinity for Ty Lawson?
It makes Tim Connelly’s decision to interview Mike Malone all the more questionable, as Malone and D’Allesandro had a rather public disagreement on the team’s offensive style, which ultimately led to Malone’s dismissal as head coach in Sacramento.
