The Denver Nuggets needed a relatively easy win at home, and they found one last night.
Ryan Blackburn discusses the Nuggets 124-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night. The Nets were on the second game of a back-to-back after playing an overtime matchup against the Phoenix Suns the night before, and the Nuggets were happy to take advantage of that with stifling defense, transition offense, and a strong Nikola Jokic game.
Jokic visited the free throw line regularly after it was made clear by Michael Malone pregame that the Denver Nuggets had discussed the way Jokic was officiated with the league office. That led to a Jokic triple-double featuring 12 free throw attempts in just three quarters of play. Peyton Watson also provided an extra gear on the second unit with a career night, attacking in transition and making plays comfortably.
Ryan discusses the starters competing hard defensively, the bench playing well (including a Christian Braun poster dunk) and why the Nuggets are in a great position league wide, especially around JOKMAS on December 15th.
