The Colorado Avalanche will play the Detroit Red Wings at Coors Field on February 27.
But that doesn’t mean the game isn’t already on everyone’s radar.
Today at the ballpark the Avs and Rockies held a joint press conference where both owners talked and talked about what a great opportunity this is. Sure, that stuff’s fine, but this is what really caught our eye.
Now we just need to add ice…and boards. pic.twitter.com/GP9OFTuKKr

That is a glorious site, even without the ice and boards quite yet.
It’s also the most exciting thing that’s happened at Coors Field in months, another sad reminder of a sad Rockies season.
February 27 will be the best night at that stadium since Rocktober 2007.
