Las Vegas Summer League is over and done with for the Denver Nuggets and there is plenty to talk about as the NBA offseason rolls on.
Ryan Blackburn of Mile High Sports recaps the five Denver Nuggets games of Las Vegas Summer League and shares his takeaways, especially focused on the rookie class (Hunter Tyson, Julian Strawther, Jalen Pickett) and Peyton Watson.
Tyson, the No. 37 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, emerged over the course of Summer League by shooting 50% from beyond the arc while averaging over 20 points per contest over Denver’s five Summer League games. Blackburn goes on to discuss the additions of Braxton Key and Jay Huff as two-way contracts and what they could bring to the table next year. Finally, Ryan laughs a little at situations around the league involving Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers, LeBron James and Los Angeles Lakers, and Damian Lillard caught between the Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat.
