After beginning the 2025-26 NBA season with a 17-6 record, the Denver Nuggets have settled in to a nice pattern of road wins and surprising home losses. The Nuggets have lost their last four home games despite winning 10 road games in a row, a franchise record.
Denver’s hoping to break that trend at home over the next week. After a road game on Thursday against the Sacramento Kings, the Nuggets play a four-game home stand against the Houston Rockets twice, the Orlando Magic, and Utah Jazz. They will be tough matchups (well, except the Jazz) but perhaps that’s what the Nuggets need to lock in at home and play their best basketball.
On the latest Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn breaks down some lineups that he likes and doesn’t like. He discusses what the Nuggets need going forward and makes a prediction for Denver’s record.
Finally, Ryan previews the two West NBA Cup games tonight.
Pickaxe and Roll is the flagship Denver Nuggets show on Mile High Sports, posting every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (unless otherwise specified). Ryan Blackburn breaks down the Nuggets in detail, bringing news, analytics, rotations, and more into a show for hardcore Nuggets fans.
