As the signing deadline approaches, Demaryius Thomas and the Denver Broncos are at a standstill. The Broncos have suggested a $12.5 million contract for one-season, giving Thomas the option to enter free agency in 2016. But Thomas has not responded to the Broncos offer yet.
Here are some of the best responses to the ever-developing Thomas-Broncos situation:
The Broncos apologists are out in full force today. Do you guys get Christmas presents from the Bowlens? Or how does saving money help you?

With clock ticking, interesting to note Broncos and Demaryius Thomas have not exchanged any proposals nor had any dialogue in over a month.

Barring a significant turn, a long-term deal is not expected for the #Broncos & star WR Demaryius Thomas. When will they see him next?

Wow. If that’s the bar for pass rushers, no way DT gets what he wants with Von’s contract coming next year.

… Now, it's saving for Von, Malik, Trevathan and Marsh? Really? People are buying that line again? #Broncos

John Elway got nothing in return for a guy who had 17 sacks last year. He gets no grief for that blunder. So today's spin isn't surprising.

I'm fine with not paying a WR big money. But that same logic has to apply to 2015 as well. It doesn't suddenly make since in '16 and beyond.

How quickly will #Broncos fans turn on DT if he doesn't sign a deal or the tender?
