It didn’t much matter when Aqib Talib missed last week’s game versus the San Diego Chargers. While Talib is one of the best cornerbacks in the league, all his replacement, Bradley Roby, did was go out and win AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
Still, missing Talib must have hurt Denver’s depth, right?
Not necessarily. The man who stepped in for Roby as the Broncos’ third cornerback, Lorenzo Doss, was graded out by Pro Football Focus as the best cornerback in football during Week 8.
And it looks like they may be asked to do so again.
Aqib Talib (back) not here at practice. I'm told he might play Sunday. Right now most likely come down to a game time decision source says.

Still, getting Talib back ASAP is imperative for the Broncos. He, next to Von Miller, has arguably been their best player all season. In fact, Pro Football Focus has him graded out as the second best cornerback in the NFL after eight weeks — Chris Harris Jr. is third.
