C.J. Anderson is coming off his best game of the year, having averaged 6.69 yards per carry, but it may be his last, at least for awhile.
According to 9News’ Mike Klis, Anderson is currently seeking a second medical opinion on a right knee injury the Broncos running back suffered during Monday night’s matchup against the Texans.
“There is hope the injury could be minor in nature,” Klis wrote, “although it’s also possible he could miss an extended period.”
The injury apparently occurred on the final play of the first quarter, where Anderson broke an 11-yard run that ended with him clutching his knee on the ground. He eventually returned to the game, rushing for a touchdown and gashing the Texans defense for 107 yards.
It seems as if there’s a good chance that Anderson will miss Sunday’s matchup versus the San Diego Chargers, but only time will tell if his absence extends further than that.
